STRATEGY​​

Tortoise Construction was looking to reposition its business.

At the time, the company’s online presence was minimal: a basic website featuring small-scale projects, documented with iPhone photos. While the quality of work was strong, the brand didn’t reflect the level of craftsmanship or the type of higher-value remodeling projects the owner was aiming to attract.

The goal was clear: elevate the brand, modernize the website, and create a portfolio that would appeal to clients seeking kitchen, bathroom, and full-home remodels.

​​CREATIVE PLAN

Higher-value clients make decisions based on perception. To gain that type of client, the brand needed to showcase work at that level. That meant creating a cohesive, premium visual presentation that highlighted craftsmanship, transformation, and attention to detail.

 

Equally important was consistency over time. Rather than a one-off shoot, the opportunity was to build a growing portfolio that evolved alongside the business.

We began with a one-to-one strategy session to define vision, goals, competitive positioning, and the desired direction for the brand.

Building a Portfolio with Intent
As portfolio-worthy projects were completed, each was documented with high-quality before-and-after imagery. The focus was on clearly showcasing transformation, helping prospective clients immediately understand the value and scope of the work.

Website Modernization
Alongside the visual work, the website experience was rethought and redesigned. A new homepage was developed to highlight recent projects, creating a stronger first impression and aligning the digital presence with the quality of the work.

Expanding Content Capabilities
As the brand evolved, so did the content strategy. Photography expanded into video walkthroughs and aerial/drone coverage, further elevating the perceived value of the work.

Ongoing Collaboration
Rather than a single engagement, the work developed into a long-term partnership, spanning multiple projects and ensuring consistency across all visual touchpoints.

ACTIVATION

The transformation of Tortoise Construction’s visual presence directly supported a shift in the type of projects the company attracts.

What began with smaller jobs evolved into higher-value work, including kitchens, basements, and full-home remodels. The brand now presents with clarity and confidence, reflecting the level of craftsmanship behind the work.

With a growing library of premium imagery and video assets, the company’s website now serves as a strong marketing tool, helping convert higher-end clients and supporting continued business growth.
